Workshop: 3D Miniature Landscape

During this workshop, you will design and build a beautiful mini landscape under the guidance of Utrecht artist Stefanie Bonte. You will learn how to combine different materials into a convincing mini world and go home with a finished piece that you can hang or display as your own art object.

What can you expect?

In four hours (incl. break), you will create a complete 3D miniature landscape step by step. You will start by designing the composition under guidance and then build the landscape using various materials (such as palette paste, resin, and professional miniature materials) and different techniques. You will learn how to apply texture and natural details to your work, and you will also paint the 3D landscape with a special method that allows you to create a unique atmosphere. You can think of it as Bob Rossing in 3D.

There is plenty of room to choose your own inspiration and/or theme, but there are also several beautiful aerial photo books available in Stefanie's studio for inspiration.  

Who is it for?

This workshop is suitable for both beginners and experienced creatives aged 14 and older. Experience with miniatures or painting is not necessary. This workshop can accommodate a maximum of 12 participants. You will work in Stefanie's studio ('Studio Bonte Ateliers' a small-scale creative hub in Utrecht), so all materials are within reach. The workshops can be given in both Dutch and English.

Important to know
Stefanie's studio has air conditioning and heating and is on the first floor; there is no elevator.
